This year is the 20th Anniversary of the Wrexham AFC Fans 8-A-Side football tournament.

The competition has for the past nineteen years been played on the morning of the last home game of the season. However, this year with the last home game with AFC Fylde being a 12.30pm kick off; and the fact that it is the 20th Anniversary of the tournament; we have arranged the tournament to take place the following day on Sunday 29th April with a 9am kick-off.

The decision to hold this tournament took some time to decide upon due to the possibility of Wrexham being in the National League play-off’s.

With this in mind there are some proviso’s, in that the tournament will go ahead if we finish in 6th position or below, but if we finish 4th or 5th then the competition will have to be postponed due to the possibility of a home game in the week.

We are therefore looking for fan’s teams to take part in this years prestigious tournament. The cost per team is £100 (£10 per player for a ten man squad). To register your team then please email brian.davies1@googlemail.com

The competition will be followed by the Wrexham AFC Player of the Season Dinner in the Centenary Club.
