It makes you wonder if the long length of his original contract of 3.5 years was given just in case Keates was successful and was poached by a football league club. You can't stop people leaving, but you can make sure you get the most compo.

I was told we got about £75k compensation but not sure it was right.

Membership has increased every month for ages. Using just the 1 months figure in isolation from the Stoke game ( 3 years ago ) is a bit unfair on the membership team. The spike, which was always going to be the case brought in £12k into the club, from glory hunters mainly who just wanted to get their hands on a ticket for the big game.

Fact is up to March board meeting the figure stood at 3366 and the same time last year the figure was 3233.

Could the figure be higher and incentives be better etc well thats another argument, but just thought I would post for a bit of clarity on figures, as harping back to a one off spike that brought in money from a different cow is hardly a fair figure to be comparing to.
