Crazywelsh - If I was the person to follow your suggestion and take up a 50% investment in your club would you indicate what control I would have over club affairs and what return would I expect to get on my investment?

Yet we only have 2 permanent strikers on the books. Is that due to Keates' lack of ability or the budget who knows.

Success is more than a number of a P&L sheet. The primary aim of a football club is to produce good football and compete as high as it possibly can.

The football side since the club has been in the hands of the WST has been the poorest in the clubs history (fact highlighted by our league positions) so that for me is is not a success. I don't attend a Wrexham match hoping to break even for the season!

Perhaps a WST board member would confirm my advice.
I'm not a board member, just a WST member, but I can confirm that the board members will need long enough to register your opinions and suggestions, seeing as you know there's only a handful of board members and there's thousands of fans throwing suggestions and questions at them for everything under the sun. Not really a shock is it? There's no need to get in a huff about it

Every board member I've spoken to has had the time and patience to chat with me and if they're busy they've gotten back to me at some point. The majority of our fan base really don't realise the amount of time, effort and skills that our fellow fans put in to make this club a success.

It is possibly an indicator we did not spend enough, especially this season, but until the accounts are out we (or most of us) do not know the position either way to make a judgement.

WST / WFC is effectively a non-profit organisation. One would normally expect to see small surpluses (profit) or deficits with an overall neutral impact in the longer term, so no big deal.

The overall situation also depends on the financial clout of the FC's owners, the WST, as it would under any other ownership model. So not much difference there.

I agree 100% the FANS of this great club should be proud of their achievements.
The club should be operating at a profit, we shouldn't be looking to spend every penny of profit we have each year.

Or would you advocate scrapping all elections??
Dave : The trust board is elected by the members. I have no problem with that and applaud those that stick their heads above the parapet to offer themselves as our representatives.

I do believe that the trust board must be allowed to nominate members who represent the trust board to run the club based on their ability to contribute positively.
The members you mention have all made significant contributions and oversee the running of the club. I can't see how a direct election of the board would improve things.
I would be interested in how you would propose to elect a club board and outline who would be eligible to stand.
Would this be open to all or trust members.
Do you want representation from the Supporters association or the FPA, DSA etc. How big a board do you want?
You know this is not a dig at yourself as I fully support the efforts you make on behalf of the club. See you Saturday if not before.

The fans of this great club should be proud of the achievements they have contributed to following the disaster years of "private ownership"
I've got my grievances with the club board (but these are relating to non-football team matters). But I would very much echo your sentiments.

..... And if any of you numbskulls try that 'happy clapper', or 'content to be a mid-table Conference side' tripe, I'll reach down my broadband connection, and rearrange your internal organs.

In that case do we need a Director of Football on the Board who represents this side?

Are you able to post your grievance so that it can be addressed?
