In all fairness inside left I have said this many times I’d put the club up for sale for £1 with potential suitors to come forward with a plan by a certain deadline. Look for someone who can take the club forward whilst maintaining a small percentage so there is representation for fans on the board still. If nobody comes forward then so be it, there’s posters on here who have said before of interest and the club (board) haven’t responded as let’s face it their decision making isn’t the best anyway look at what they have done since taking over. If they learnt from mistakes I could accept that but it just doesn’t seem to be the case.

We have nothing anyone can take away from us, as much as people love the ideology of a community fans owned base it only seems able to get us into a mediocre position.

It’s sustained decline not sustained success with this model, build the budget is supposed to be done as a promotion drive to buy a new striker etc not continuously every season like a charity.

We are where are I totally understand that and I’m frustrated like the rest of you but it’s just not going to work.

Not really, they will be addressed in time though as certain matters progress. Thanks anyway.

No, not really, just one or two grievances regarding the board's attitude to certain off-field issues. As I said, they will be addressed in time.

I do believe that the trust board must be allowed to nominate members who represent the trust board to run the club based on their ability to contribute positively.
The members you mention have all made significant contributions and oversee the running of the club. I can't see how a direct election of the board would improve things.
I would be interested in how you would propose to elect a club board and outline who would be eligible to stand.
Would this be open to all or trust members.
Do you want representation from the Supporters association or the FPA, DSA etc. How big a board do you want?
You know this is not a dig at yourself as I fully support the efforts you make on behalf of the club. See you Saturday if not before.
Interesting questions. I have no problem with the current Board structure ie 4 WST members plus up to 3 co-opted members. The latter , like Don Bircham and Phil Sadler can provide added business experience and valuable skills in dealing with the public. I believe the WST candidates procedure should be more open and that WST Members should decide who they want to run the Club on their behalf. Sorry if this is too radical for you to swallow!
Just for the record I have never proposed an enlarged Board of Directors or called for representation from any of the organisations you mention.

[QUOTE=northwalian dragon;2133226]I

The club should be operating at a profit, we shouldn't be looking to spend every penny of profit we have each year.

QUOTE

For clarity, I did not advocate ant particular financial strategy. I was just pointing out making a profit in itself is not a measure of success or sustainability.

I take it you were merely using my post to advocate the financial strategy you would like to see?

The only comment I would make at this time is fixed thinking never produces the best results. The key to sustainability is flexibility in thinking and action.

The immediate focus of all needs to be getting the train back on the rails on Saturday and the other remaining games. The rest can wait for now.

Not too radical at all. just think it might turn into a "beauty contest" and end up with Directors that don't possess the necessary skills.
Just for the record, I never suggested you wanted representation from other organisations. It was just food for thought. You have cleared that up nicely. Thanks.

The life of a wrexham fan has got to be one of the most frustrating in recent years. We get better crowds than the league above, we probably have better support to away games than some teams above so where the fcuk is the money going.

How can we be proud when nothing really has been achieved, if your happy to have a mid table national side year after year aslong as you have a football team I suppose you are happy, i for one think we deserve better and so does the town.

I honestly hand on heart think it’s time the wst put half the club 50/50 up for sale and bring in some outside help as we are going around in circles the same mistakes cost us.
