I see where the Crazy bit comes from.

You are entitled to your view. We haven't got money to P1ss away sacking people and paying them off. (One lesson learnt)
Board members do treat it as if it were their own money, in fact they are protective of it as it's the members money they are spending.
We are not able to run a debt (Constitutionally) so we have to live within our means.
Good practice dictates that to manage the finances we need a surplus to counter for difficult times.
Most posters applauded the common sense view of continuity. Unfortunately we are continuing a slump in form, attitude and confidence.
I'm sure that all concerned are trying to rectify the situation both off and particularly on the field.
If you know of any benevolent individual who would like to donate, feel free to let the club know so they can contact him. all donations welcome.

It would certainly help. Imagine a kitchen without a chef.

Board members work for nothing and even pay their own admission.
A Director of football, with relevant football knowledge, would be an outside appointment and cost money.
Appoint a current trust board member to do the job FOC and the moaners would have a field day.
Mind you they'd moan about losing £50k from the budget as well.

It's this sort of attitude that's costing the club money in the longer term, Keates contract it seems didn't differentiate his release clause, sounds like a one fits all.

Again, instead of paying a bit of cash to get specialists sport solicitors to to draw up the contract, we relied on a very generous supporter of the club to do this who likely didn't have the specialist knowledge.

What's so bad about a director of football who could look for other funding revenue streams for the CoE, scout a few players, help with youth development ( our only assets), helping to ensure we get better value for money when it comes to wages, andok to improve training facilities etc

£50k Vs promotion worth £1million plus potential player sales, I know which I'd rather.

This. There is no long term vision or strategy for the football side of things. Its just on a 12 month rinse and repeat cycle of releasing and signing journeymen. There is no style or Wrexham way. There is no long term plan or strategy for the football side of things its just the same old every year not much progress has been made. The club needs to actively look at investment and being able to grow and be more ambitious. From the outside we look like a charity rather than a professional and ambitious business.
