Re: "wealthy entrepreneur with many connections to Chester" makes offer for Chester
Not fair IMO.
The Board have done a lot of work off the pitch and this is resulting in the club becoming more stable and financially independent. However, on the football side we do seem to fall short. But, having said that, I thought the appointment of Keates was a good one and also the contract extension. Who knew that he would jump ship at a later date? If anyone is to blame for this season it is Keates' recruitment. It seemed fine until the January window where other teams kicked on and we seemed to fall away. Davies has the team now but the damage was effectively already done. Appointing a manager for 3 games won't make a difference now even if we could get someone in. All we can do is go with what we have got and hope the players can perform. Not a great situation and incredibly frustrating though. |

The potential investor might be one - F. Christmas. Just over 700 at the clubs home match last night. I hope that they restructure and grow as a fan run club.

You have contradicted yourself you thought the appointment or Keates was a good one & the contract extension, then you go on to criticise his signings, sorry that is one of the main differences between a good manager and an average to poor one. Keates record in the transfer market was poor particularly in midfield and upfront, then follow that with boring negative tactics. Posted via mobile theme |

Re: "wealthy entrepreneur with many connections to Chester" makes offer for Chester
Strange one - Difficult to see any return on investment for this wealthy entrepreneur if it does not change the ownership basis of the club - it is literally giving money away. (tbf on Chester's gates its difficult to see that even if they do gain ownership)
Unless this person simply wants to donate their money to Chester - which may be possible - it doesn't seem likely that they would not be looking for some form of transfer of assets or control |
