Re: Davies, and Darlo, to sort retained players.
Pablo Asensio
45 year old Argentinian - virtually no history on his CV - coaching roles at Macclesfield, Accrington Stanley and just disposed of by National League South Whitehawk. From the Non League paper.................... WHITEHAWK have turned to ex-Eastleigh boss Richard Hill as their new manager after parting company with Pablo Asensio on Friday. The Hawks were one of the pre-season favourites in the National League South but they’ve endured a slow start to the campaign, picking up just one win from their opening eight games. They had scored just six times in those matches and the East Sussex club’s board took action a day before Saturday’s visit of high-flying Chelmsford City. Asensio, who served as assistant manager, stepped up to take the reins in February after Steve King’s departure and he was named permanent boss in May. His appointment coincided with a fantastic run of form that took the Hawks from the edge of the relegation zone into the play-offs, where they were beaten on penalties in the semi-finals by Ebbsfleet. Replacing the Argentinian is the experienced Hill, who has been out of the game for almost a year after leaving Eastleigh last September |

Re: Davies, and Darlo, to sort retained players.
Pretty much any manager takes on someone else's signings, it's rare they would come in to a club with no players under contract. AD and CD are well placed to judge who to release/keep, a new gaffer who saw us for the first time yesterday could be tempted to offer Mackreth a 5 year deal Having said that I would hope there is plenty going on behind the scenes regarding getting a new man in place so he can have some input.

AD went on most of DS's scouting trips this season so should be aware of a few , but you then have to persuade them to join us. I hope we get a new Manager who can do these things. |

Re: Davies, and Darlo, to sort retained players.
Why do AD and CD even need to be kept on, clearly they are not as good as everyone thinks they are. I'd rather get the best possible manager in we can and let him bring his own back room team in. This 'continuity and stability' lark is a load of tosh especially when you are going to release 90% of the squad (hopefully). Continuity of the style of football should we keep that too? This shows how clueless the board are if we make it a condition of the to manager to keep AD and CD.
