My post wasn't to bash the board just whoever made the decision to not compete in a reserve of some sort league, I must be missing something here as I thought we played in a reserve league when Mills was first here? Plus The manager some call the worst ever Brian little scrapped our reserves and one of the first things Saunders did was reapply to join one stating he couldn't believe we didn't have a reserve team, so unless the league we competed in no longer exists why? Is it down to money?

That's correct. Mac. And Altrincham were around the top of that league most of the time. Stalybridge Celtic and Hyde were in the league but unable to recall other teams.

Not allowed to by the conference I think. Only allowed to play reserve teams in our league.

I know it wasn't to bash the board.

We are banned from playing EFL teams - perhaps this rule comes into to play after 2 years which would explain York and Hartlepool still playing EFL teams.

Oswestry Town, Buxton, Winsford, Sankeys (Hadley), New Brighton to name a few. Oh and Wigan Athletic!!!

If it is sheer amateurism and why on the field we aren't progressing then it is the same for all teams.

A complete long shot, but the WPL, sell it as a development tool for the future generations of Welsh footballers along with Newport, Swansea ( who I think were keen at one point) and Cardiff, increases the standard of the league and interest. Trouble is English clubs would moan about us having an unfair advantage, unless of course they finally agree to follow the proposed Spanish model.
