It's a funny thing this football team management. There must be so many variables regarding 'just getting it right' to go up directly or through play offs. You have to get a base of 11 players to tick nicely and playing tactics to win or draw. It clearly helps having a large budget but as Macclesfield have proven it's not everything. It must be more difficult down here as players come and go very quickly. At least money let's you go again if you lose your better players. To a point, these negative tactics took us a long way and I really didn't think we would drop out of the play offs. Have to say the way we have capitulated has annoyed me. Think it sort of proved that keates kept these tactics going and when he went the glue holding it together went also. They are horrible, boring tactics but nearly worked. Just hope the board are connected enough to the playing side to try and work out why it fell apart. Hopefully someone announcement will be made regarding this. Folk have paid up this season pushing the team on and had very little return.

When does Harris bite the bullet and accept his HR driven recruitment policies don’t work? I respect anyone who gives up their time for the club, but as someone who will never forget their treatment when walking into a club I apparently “own”, I will put my head on the line and say perhaps a little too much prestige is being taken in being a “football club director”.
