There is an exception to every rule, but 95times out of 100 in the team that spends the most wind the league. I am not saying we spend crazy, but I would welcome a more aggressive approach.
I thought the Turf was where we are picking them from. The only dribbling our fullbacks and wingers could do would be with a pint 🍻

Then Boden was dropped, Holroyd playing in his position, and Deverdics (who as you say prefers centre) pushed out to the left. It went pear-shaped after that.
Just shows why were are poor when Boden and Rutherford are considered good enough for the play offs and as for Deverdics!!!!!
Likewise Kelly, Mackreth, Franks, Ainge etc.

My god we have some shte playing for us and then we have Jennings the gob and Row Z Wedgbury. Mid table mediocrity at best.

Kelly, Jennings, Mackreth and Wedgebury have all made the play offs before. Deverdics has been one of the best midfielders in this league when he was at Dover. Franks has been a league player all his career. Ainge has scored goals for fun in the league below for a few seasons now.

They largely haven't worked out but on paper these aren't bad players.

Kelly and Mackreth's best years are behind them.

I'm a big fan of Wedge - my player of the season.

Jennings is adequate.

Deverdics has been poor but I'm hoping a fresh start under a new manager , pre season etc we will see what he really can do.

Franks and Ainge I have sympathy for. They have just played on the fringes, mainly coming off the bench. Can't really judge them on that.

Im really surprised that we didnt use the BTB to dismantle the macc side. Particularly with the row over late payments. Mickey Mellon did it for Fleetwood when he signed our influential players a few years back. We all know what happened then.
