Subs: Raven, Carrington, Holroyd, Dibble

or:

New GK

New Centre Half Pearson Smith
New Winger Wedgebury Deverdics Wright New Winger
New Centre Forward New Centre Forward.

Deverdics contracted, would like to see him get a run in his favoured advanced central role - but a kick in the arse needed.

Undecided on Quiqley, can look cumbersome and greedy - would like to see him with a partner and feed off better through-ball service from Deverdics and new wide men.

Transfer list the others that are contracted & hope someone comes in for them.

Release the others.

Not an easy task at all - but time to be ruthless. Build a strong, competitive core and supplement with a little pace, guile and goalscoring.

Let’s hope we find someone who can do this...
Hard to disagree with any of that

I would like to see us adopt a 3-5-2 formation but the change in personnel required may be a factor in this.

Agreed.

Some current players could be incorporated into it, but would certainly need some new quality faces also.

A new centre-half alongside Manny and Pearson (some may argue Raven could do it)

A midfield five anchored by a combative duo of Wedgebury and Wright, supplemented by pacey wide men who can deliver and hopefully the Deverdics of old shown faith to have a sustained run in his favoured position.

Then two centre-forwards. With goals in them. Seems an obvious thing to say but a crucial thing we’ve lacked. For me, jury is out on Quigley. The Quigley I saw away at Hartlepool - yes, otherwise no. Does he deserve to be offered something? Will he thrive under better leadership and with better service? Or is there better out there? Tough call.

Well assuming we get a new manager in who isn't a yes man (doubtful if already agreed to work with the 2 men who are in charge now) then he would if any good weigh up these past it journeymen and soon see who's worth keeping and who isn't. I don't get this love in for Wedgebury myself a grafter yes but a midfielder needs to be able to do the basics like make simple passes.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head, agree with it all.

I think it may be an underwhelming appointment and the guy has previously played for us.

Well if it's another rookie then expect more of the same.
