How can anybody suggest keeping Deverdics? and after the last two months who the hell is Wright? Macc proved you can start the season with four players and win the title. Complete rebuild required.

I would hope a new manager would improve players we have, as well as recruit new players. Both are attributes of a good manager.

Deverdics is under contract. I think that's the only reason.

Personally I think the back 4 is fine. For two thirds Of the season they looked the best defence in the league. Of the players currently not under contract id only try and keep Holroyd. I would offer Quigley something too. Everyone else can leave.

The back four is fine - until they have to defend a set piece...and has Roberts ever ventured over the halfway line?

Football wise it's been a crap season. Hoofball, Players who couldn't find a pass in an alley. Failure to address the basics and bolster the squad in the areas needed.
Despite our failings the club has been able to provide a manager with more money over the season than any other under our ownership. It's just a pity that we've fallen short. To me it's a blessing in disguise as I'm not sure I could suffer another year of boredom. Games that you wish would finish long before the final whistle.
Hopefully another lesson learnt but the next manager has to have a bit more about him and want to play decent football or we will start losing support.

2. Our fullbacks are quite good. I know Jennings is Marmite but he has done some good things, and both fullbacks have been part of a lot of clean sheets.
3. Our central defence is very good, not perfect, they aren't Maldini but the consensus is they're the best bit of the team.
4. Wedgbury and Wright are good and can be part of a solid midfield that wouldn't let us down.
5. Holroyd will hopefully stay and is very good.
6. Rutherford is Marmite but I think he's quite good.
7. Olly Marx, Raven, and Carrington are quite good.
We are two very good players short (Striker and centre midfield). I think that's a really good return for a season of new players.

The budget for next year will be good. We probably ended up with too many players for our limited budget, but fortunately there is plenty of scope to shift players. I think the crowds may suffer slightly next season due to the disgust at the failure to gain promotion, but that feeling can be wiped away with a good start.

Isn’t it amazing that with all these good players and we still couldn’t make the play offs. A real mystery.
