We’ve had 1 promotion since then. 1 in 25 years. We really shouldn’t be thinking we’re a successful club, we just aren’t. Nothing to do with ownership.

Expecting to be in the football league isn't thinking we are a successful club.

A club with our resources and support base, shouldn't be playing non league football for over 10 years on the bounce.

The number of times we have been promoted in the football league is irrelevant. Just making excuses.

Using your logic, Chester are a really successful club because they've had 3 promotions in their 9 year existance!

In comparison and without the play off lottery, promotion from League 2 with 3 teams going up automatically is far easier than promotion from the NL with only 1 place.
After 10 years don't under estimate the task of getting out of this league. I've seen 4 promotions in 50 years ( 77/80 - my favourite) but NL promotion will surpass all of those.

When we were in the league it seemed that most football teams in our league had the same amount of money. In the non league now there is always one or two teams with loads of money to through at it.

Great day out. Loved the inflatable whale on the away end, and the police having failed to clear the pitch after the final whistle had to get Joey to do it by himself.

Yes it is a challenge but if the club can now stay on the straight and narrow and we want it enough, it will happen.

My grandson's first game today, so hopefully he will enjoy it and want to come again for an improved assault on that top spot next season, before his dad gets him supporting Utd or his school mates try and take him along to watch Crewe.

I don’t underestimate it now. I did when we came down. However, we are the longest serving team in this league, meaning plenty of teams with our resources and less have done it.

People need to stop making excuses. This year for example we should have been play offs minimum, yet we’ve played the last 9 matches with no proper manager and completely messed up. That’s nothing to do with our budget.
