If this is the standard you hope will succeed, here's to the next 10 years down here.
But we are not going to sign 11 of the best players in the division. The key is to have players who will make a solid contribution and have a few stars to make the difference. And of course, hope they gel!

Wedgbury is a good example. He does that ball winning role well, so we need to complement him with players to offset his weaknesses.

Elliot Durrell won the league with Macc, and I wouldn't have him as good enough, so its an example of you not needing 11 stars to win the league.

Agree. I'm not a fan of Kevin Roberts, but he's not the reason we didn't go up. Certainly good enough.

We need to be focused on the attacking end of the pitch.

There lies the issue. Everybody has different opinions about who should stay, who should go,whis good enough and who's not. What type of players we news to bring in.Some say a new keeper, some are happy with defence whilst others want rid of one if not both full backs.
Whoever the manager brings in,lets go,half will be happy and half will be pisswd off from the start. Thats why most of the stuff on here cant be taken too seriously. Opinions are one thing but unless people are prepared to listen to others and accept it is just quite possible that their opinion may be incorrect then debates such as this just wont work.

For me it needs to be at the 1st game

GK - New - Commanding, Catches crosses etc.

LB - Jennings
CB - Pearson
CB - Manny
RB - Roberts

CDM - Wedge
RCM - Akil Wright
LCM - Creative Midfielder (Whittaker style)

LW/LF - Powerful/Pacey, can score and assist
CF - Goalscorer, Strong, Can hold the ball up (Danny Wright Build)
RW/RF - See LW

Keep Raven to cover the back 4
Derverdics can come into the Midfield 3, more natural position hopefully get back to his Dover form.
Keep Dibble as GK cover

I'd probably keep Holroyd as well as he can play across the front 2

A couple of whammies in there as well:

created lots of chances.....missed the one player to finish the moves off.

Lets hope the new manager doesn't fall for this twaddle - 8 players contracted for next season and the rest (maybe Holroyd excepted) are past their National league use by date. Its time for re-stock the cupboard with some new talent.

I am hoping to have seen the last of quite a few.

Me to Pagl but the club is in a total mess on the field the board haven't clicked yet that if you don't have a product worth supporting on the main side of the club which is what customers pay for, then it's only a matter of time before those customers say enough is enough and with entertaining football being our main priority not just a promotion challenge the bomb is ticking on this next appointment if he is an underwhelming choice and a lackey to Davies and Darlington with more 2 yrs etc talk then season ticket sales could drop a lot, Foxy will then say it's gradual decline, end of season the players we have were bottom of the form league.

Possibly 5 or 6 new faces required.

However a sea change in the tactics employed lack of goals cost us dearly this season and that must be addressed.

There seems to be conflicting RP positions regarding player retention - start a fresh or keep only players contracted for nect season or retain the majority just adding 4 or 5 proven players.

It would be good if someone could create a poll to see where the majority on here think.
