We turned down a decent bid for NKP in our 98 point season despite knowing that he would likely leave on a free at the end of that season, because our manager wanted him to stay to help with our promotion challenge.

On a side note, I’d be interested in what you think about Barrow’s situation Foxy? They spunked £4m on trying to win promotion and all they have been left with is a new boiler.

Didn’t that £4 million get them promotion from the NL North as well?

Interesting to see they’re changing direction to focus on youth and on creating more of a bond between the club and the town, though. I wish more football clubs would do that.

Hence constant upheaval as we chase cash when an opportunity arises. Sadly in football that will get you nowhere. We are all supporting a club that is going nowhere, and is just a bit of bad luck and one bad season away from relegation to the National League North.

Yes he was we tried to sign him but he chose Cambridge instead that's when they were in our league. He was then when they were promoted out a lot with injuries, but he would be better than Deverdics has shown up too now, Cassidy anyother one who seems to have gone backwards but he if he could get some form back is the type of Centre forward we need.
