Do I support him? Yeah. Do I think it’s the right call? No. But what do I know?

I hope for much better football.
It was also Keates' but he let CD lead the way on the coaching / set up. My fear is we are walking into the same situation.

I am not necessarily against the Ricketts appointment but believe he needs an experienced Nr 2 for his first managerial appointment, Darlo and Davies are not that.

CD being involved in the recruitment process is quite frankly, ridiculous. A similar set up would not occur in any other line of business, why should it here? He'll have blown his own trumpet to SR, job preservation at its finest.

Also, CD is unable to attend all of the matches and only at training on a part time basis. Not ideal for a novice managers sidekick.

You're potentially pinning your hopes of better football on the source of the worst we've seen in recent decades.

Everyone had a boner for Darlo 12 months ago, and Davies will be back in charge of the cones so I'm not panicking too much over those two.

Thats my view too. I think its the wrong choice, but I'm not preparing 'Ricketts Out' banners for Lex on July 3rd.

Agreed. Anyone voting no shouldn’t be marginalised.

It’s purely an exit poll style poll.

I quite like the idea of appointing someone on his way up as opposed to his way down. He has everything to prove in that regard.

Plus he’s played at a level most of our players will never get to which will carry significant weight in the dressing room.

I personally can't understand some of the anti Davies/Darlington feeling. They were put in a very tricky situation, ditched by a manager who bought in naff additions to the squad in Jan while other teams strengthened. It was like when Tony Blair left power leaving Gordon Brown in the crap!

No I honestly think the board have have made a decision that could be the beginning of the end and season tickets will tell the story we’re already around 100 thousand down on the budget if tranmere go up think we needed a more experienced man A

We all hope he's successful obviously. We don't all have to agree with the appointment as long as 100% of fans support him.
