I've been a member of the WST for years and support the ownership model. But, at the moment Im starting to feel it's taken us as far as it can go, and we should be actively seeking financial investment. Our 11th season beckons and we need to move on now.

I still firmly believe that with the right manager, we can get out of the Conference on a fan-funded budget.

Youve got to believe havent you? Because I think we'd flourish by getting promoted.

Two fan owned clubs in L2. Wycombe won automatic promotion and Exeter are in the play off final for the second year running. And Accrington winning it with the lowest budget, too.

As much as I'd love for someone to come along and gift the club some money each season, I just cant see it. I think they'd have done it long ago seeing our struggle and the potential the club has.

I’m not taking the piss...on this occasion!

We can all be excused for wanting better for the club. However, this white knight doesn’t exist so you and I have to go to work to put extra in so we can afford a better striker.

Yes, it’s a bastard when, in all likelihood, Salford will be outspending us but “private” ownership nearly sent us to ruin. I simply cannot envisage a situation where I could support whoring us out to a flash twat in a rented Merc.

But hopefully, there’ll be a club for you and I to pass on our kids.
