Whoever we get in midfield next season need to chip in with more goals. This season must have been an all time low from midfield.

It's difficult to score from your own half.

But Wedgebury is only there to break up play and get in their face. All he needs to do is get the ball and offload it to a nearby colleague.

Unfortunately we haven't had midfielders of the calibre to take the ball and create.

None of the other midfielders (apart from Wright when he plays) will make tackles so we get run through and Wedgebury is run ragged.

Better players around Wedgebury will make him better.

This.

I think though the way we were set up to play last season limited the attacking impact of all our midfielders and forward players though to be honest. That must change.

We need to keep hold of Wedgbury, we won’t find a more hard working midfielder than him.

As ever be careful what we wish for, only get rid of players if there’s someone better coming in. We’ve made this mistake before. Wes York is a prime example, many were happy to see him gone but we’ve not had a winger anywhere near as good since.

If he wants to go so be it, we want players who want to be here, he is far from the worst we have, if he could do the simple stuff like pass a ball he would be in the leagues above, but Wright is similar to him so not the end of the world if he goes.

Spot on. The Wedge is the least of our problems. York was inconsistant but scored 11 goals for us from the wing before Mills booted him out. Daft decision.

It's something Wright needs to add to his game. He's a box-to-box mudfielder so there should be an expectation of some goals.

Spot on Pask.
Wedgebury tends to try and cover too much ground sometimes to make up for the others deficiencies !
