I think it was more of a back 6 wasn't it. Two holding midfielders always helps with your defensive record. Lets see how good our defence is with out the protection of last season.

yes.. i personally think Roberts is better than Carrington so yes.. i think we may of conceded more.

regardless of opinions in that respect.. we ha the best defense in the league.

sure we could find better defenders (most likely in all positions across the back) . but for me this season coming our defense is fine.. and we need concentrate on Middle of the park and up front.. and ofc between the sticks

I agree. Our defence is definitely good enough.

Carrington was needed in a variety of positions and with a small squad again next term his versatility will be well used.

Yes but our defence was more like a back seven for the first thirty games of the season.

Not very exciting but maybe if we had persevered with it things could have been so very different. I think it was always the plan to build on a stable defence unfortunately the main man left and we became easier to beat once we started trying to be more expensive.
