You know what I mean. If he is signed as our main striker that would be an issue, whereas if he is our 4th striker, not so.

Standard Premier and football league contracts run to 30 June, which usually coincides with the end of their financial year.

Its more flexible in non-league/part time football with some only running to the last game of the season or 12 months from signing on.

This old chestnut! Lets see how many players we sign from football league clubs. To be honest I'm not too worried due to the general lack of activity.

Last season we sigend Pearson, Mackreth , Kelly and Wedgebury ( who were promoted to league 2), James Jennings who we had previously loaned from a league 2 club and Massanka on loan from a premier league clubs. Add to that Boden who had previously been at Newport b4 going to Inverness , suggests we do look outside the Conference for our signings. Not saying that they were all a success by any means.

Also fans have no idea how much or how little activity is going on behind the scenes. Some assume everyone is sat at home twiddling their thumbs.
