Yes, it’s a bastard when, in all likelihood, Salford will be outspending us but “private” ownership nearly sent us to ruin. I simply cannot envisage a situation where I could support whoring us out to a flash twat in a rented Merc.

But hopefully, there’ll be a club for you and I to pass on our kids.

As long as we have a club, all is rosy. We could be evo-stick north div 1 but we would have all our history and are putting ourselves in good light to the community. Just as long as we have a club, I’m happy.

Two fan owned clubs in L2. Wycombe won automatic promotion and Exeter are in the play off final for the second year running. And Accrington winning it with the lowest budget, too.

As much as I'd love for someone to come along and gift the club some money each season, I just cant see it. I think they'd have done it long ago seeing our struggle and the potential the club has.

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve supported the club. If it doesn’t match your ideals and ambition, try someone else.

Turning people away because they don’t agree with the ideology of the community club is wrong, If you said this to half of the fan base and they listened you wouldn’t have a club to support before long it would go bust. If it takes 3200 to sustain us where we are with the budget and there aren’t that many members in the trust are there? (I may be wrong but someone may reply to clarify)

It just looks like to most that we have no ideals, ambition or most of all a plan of action. This two year plan etc doesn’t exist it’s being rewritten each year, we now have an inexperienced manager who will make mistakes he’s only human after all but the best we have been since being in this league was under a manager of the same pedigree.

We need some strong signings for the centre of midfield and a striker who can score with a proven record. Another season like last year people are not going to pay to see it.

Living proof of why the board putting everything at the club on ice in exchange for a tiddly first team squad is a waste of time. The fans they're pandering to with this policy don't even realise or appreciate that they really are going all out for promotion.
