Guess the club have booked just the 2 family rooms for the trip to Portugal?

So we have gone from signings are imminent (since the middle of May), to no signings this week.

I don't usually post much and am happy to let the manager get on with it, but I'm beginning to get very worried. Our only hope this season is a good FA cup run as we are not going to be in a battle for promotion with the current players.

You're right, I don't blame the lad at all. Why would you sign a contract to sit on your arse for 12 months when you're at a crucial stage of development?

Is there such a thing as U21s/U23s at this level? There must be some way to stop all these good prospects leaving.

There has to be a change in mind set first and a will to want to keep them and go down that route. Our company policy is to go the other way and has been for some time, sadly folk have been brainwashed into thinking it's an ok policy when it's seriously flawed.
