This maybe in place but my point is that I see no evidence of this.

How about Target 5,000 - for membership as a longer term aim.

With a number of iniatives I'm sure we could achieve this over the course of this season, certainly if Sam's team deliver and crowds increase.

Just a few ideas but probably many, many other ways to boost growth:
Membership forms could be offered to fans going through the turnstiles.
Offers could be made to existing members for recruiting a set number of (new members paying via standing order) or a prize to person with the best return.
Maybe a prize draw each home game, limited to members to increase the publicity and update on how the membership is growing.
More publicity and advertising of the discount available to members with local businesses.

I am just waiting to see what the WST board structure will look like after the up and coming elections and hope the 2 board members that deal with memberships are re-elected and will continue their role with membership.

Of the current 3,300 members then @ 83% pay via SO which is a fantastic amount. Hopefully we have contact details for all these members.

We need to see how we convert the remaining 17% to SO or Direct Debit.

How do we then increase the membership. I am thinking that in the current smart phone world then this could be done via an 'app' as the current process of membership forms handed out isn't efficient and lets face it we all take flyers/leaflets from people and then bin them.

We also need to increase the membership team and have ambassadors out there that are encouraging fellow fans, friends, relatives to join ideally by collecting contact email/mobile details and passing this to the membership team. As long as these people agree to be contacted then we comply with GDPR requirements.

Maybe we could have a Birthday/Christmas membership pack as lets face it lots of us struggle to buy something for our Dad, Brother/Sister and friends and this would be a way to enrol new members. Needs to be looked at cost wise.

I agree with you about the more publicity aspect and I think this is something that the club need to push a lot more and have a sub-committee just to deal with the PR aspect of this. Lets take the recent situation where a local business donated some money to BTB following the Stereophonics gig, well we should be shouting their name from the rooftops to encourage locals and fans to use their business because they are part of the WAFC community.
Its the same with discounts - get the information out there to the fans constantly to encourage them to use these businesses.

All of this probably requires more people to help but isn't really going to cost the club any money. For me the potential for an 'app' could be a huge winner for enrolling new members.
