Went last year with the Mrs for a week b&b in the same complex as the team we enjoyed it more because of mixing with the players, not very impressed with the place, but for what we payed suppose it was ok. This year it's the same place so the other half not interested.I did check out with Hays travel for a week h/board but it was twice as much as I paid last year so no chance for us. Found a week in Tenerife 4star h/b £400 cheaper so am afraid no brainer . So my support this season will be season ticket + name on seat +btb and 1864.

We were in the Macron store yesterday, whilst they were photographing this. They look really good shirts, and the Wrexham lager logo will appeal to those of us older supporters. Had a quick chat with Sam too, a really nice guy !
See you all in Portugal.

Is it free to attend the matches. Nice little stadium in Albufeira. Very close to the centre.

I may be wrong but I thought there is only going to be the one proper match, against Louletano.

Estadio do Algarve being the venue, known to the locals as “The White Elephant” located north east of Faro and south west of Loulé, on the en125.

About a 20 minute drive from Albufeira.

Correct, built for euros 2004 seen a couple of matches back then nice stadium but not used much since only by Louletano and a couple of CL qualifiers. Nothing around it though middle of nowhere so get your drinks in before hand :coolgleamA:

Re: Portugal Trip

Is this an evening kick off?

If so then no wonder the club are organising coaches. I believe this stadium is in the middle of nowhere with no public transport links.

This is quite an expensive little outing when you add the bus fare onto the ticket price on top of the travel and accommodation costs.

Last year it was a nice little stadium with no entrance fee, but Louletano must have made a fortune on beer sales alone. Why change to a 30,000 seat stadium for a crowd likely to be in the hundreds?

This. The stadium is in the middle of nowhere. There are no facilities whatsoever.

It would be much better to play in Loule like last year. Their ground is a five minute walk from the town centre - decent restaurants to eat in after the game as well.
