Defensively, it spoke volumes last season.

That Argument can obviously be turned on its head when applied to our lack of offensive options and tactics. I believe as others have said they the players level of fitness/analysis was influenced by CD but finally tactically it was down to DK so he must take the blame and fame at the same time.
I only know that when CD was put in charge previously we looked tidy and not overtly defensive and I do believe he has the best interests of our club in his heart. Perhaps SR will be more open to his ideas tactically than DK but now I also get into the realms of pure speculation.

Agreed, hardly tactically inspiring last season were we.

Not impressed with last seasons organisation on the pitch. So there was me looking forward to a fresh approach with the new manager. Seems I was wrong.
Good luck for next season - perhaps if we knock on the FL door enough times it will open.

Frustrated by this but not surprised.

Friends giving friends jobs! Hopefully he has little say in the playing side as last seasons horrendous football was down to this man.

I don't doubt he offers something on the stats / gps / science side but he has no football background and needs a defined role away from management / first team coaching.

I hope Spencer or Carl personally rang Foxy to let him know before the generic email went out

Just to be clear as it appears some are still not getting it.

Last season's tactics weren't down to Darlington. They were down to Keates!

Darlington's skillset as far as I can see is coaching coaches to coach.

The manager will be responsible for the playing performance.
So he doesn’t actually coach the players then? Are you suggesting what he does has no impact on performances? That’s weird. A coach who has no impact on performances. I’ve read it all now

I’m still waiting for an explanation on the hype he gets. He’s only ever coached at TNS as far as I’m aware and they would win the league with ease anyway.
