To me the mission should to be at least an established well run L1 club capable of challenging for promotion to the Championship (e.g. Salop). Anything less is not restoring WFC to its former status.

The fact that we are not clear about the mission and the plan to achieve it is indicative that PAGL is on the money if not in the money!!!

This in turn leads to misunderstandings and confusion on this board where people who actually substantially agree end up arguing. Leadership is needed to clarify and deliver.

Excellent post ☺

Exactly. In the draw for tonights Euromillions again anyway. Plan A still in place with 2 tickets and I really need a plan B

The bit about Saunders salary is interesting. Anybody got any idea how much he was on, compared to say Keates?

3 tickets?
Sadly there is no real plan B unless you consider selling your house and blowing the lot in one go on tickets.

It's the type of gamble that some on here want the club to do.

Best educated guess is that Saunders was on £100k plus bonus. Keates was on around the £50k mark.+ incentives.

I would love to know the key highlights of our strategy and plan though. Surely that should be visible to the owners to measure the success. Its a simple ask really.
Its there if you look for it; albeit now slightly out of date. It was a major part of WSTs work in 2013/14; involved consultation with supporters, (well at least it gave them an opportunity to get involved at the time) and was subsequently presented at the 2014 AGM.

Our Plan / Ein Cynllun - 2014-2017

Our Plan / Ein Cynllun - 2014-2017
Cheers Terry - some interesting points to pick through. Do you think we have been successful in them?

Our Unique Wrex-perience – creating an exciting and entertaining match-day experience;

A Future-proofing Football Architecture – a structure and philosophy that defines “The Wrexham Way”, promoting success on the field;

A Revenue-Boosting Business Architecture – the creation of additional revenue streams by utilising the unparalleled skills of our membership;

Pioneering: We set the standard for fan-owned football clubs and never stand still, always striving for ways to improve;

1. Developed Fan-Ownership: This aim links to our Revenue-Boosting Business Architecture vision driver. To succeed we will have strengthened our position as a leading fans owned club. Strength in numbers is paramount and within this aim we have a number of objectives relating to Club membership, Club ownership, relations with Supporters Direct and the fan-ownership model.

2. Secured Financial Stability & Generated Additional Revenue: This aim links to our Revenue-Boosting Business Architecture vision driver. Within this aim are a wide range of financial objectives including: utilising Community Shares, building capital reserves; responding to specific project requests; and fundraising initiatives.

There will be 4 new sub-groups replacing the existing Commercial, Community, Football, Membership, Community Shares, and Volunteers groups:

• Fans-Ownership
• Revenue Generation
• Community Football Club
• Football Club Operations

Thats a good analogy.

And yes, in answer to pagl Eosceriog and others, we do need a plan to achieve our mission (whatever that may be). Expecting to win the lottery should not be part anyones plan though!

Maybe we will soon see the latest plan published, perhaps after a consultation with Members?
