A lack of progress on the pitch is disappointing and frustrating. A lack of progress in making the club sustainable is could be fatal for the club

How many promotions since reforming? We've yet to have one and have a far bigger average attendance than they do, shows how much we've underachieved.

I'm done on the matter, the excuses from the same lot are tiresome.

If there's a will there's a way.

You dont have talk crap ... you keep on comparing us to Chester and Tamworth... as somebody above said....where are they?. and where we are ? what were chesters finances like? i know which id rather be. ever considered they have acadamy players making the first team because they cant afford to pay 1st teamers who are good enough a wage. hence the kids get into the squad.

Have we really signed anyone in the last 6 seasons that have performed that well that an 18 year old might not have just performed the same? Ainge franks the drink driver ... why did we bother with them?

He certainly does talk crap, LAAR.
The most annoying thing about gggggggg is that when he gets called out on his nonsense, he then randomly throws something else into the mix, that is also total bollox, and tries to use it to justify the bit of nonsense he’s just been found out on.
It’s just not worth trying to have a debate with him.

Have we been able to develop a young player coming through our ranks, that hasn’t first been snapped up by a Club higher up the pyramid?

Bearing in mind that these Clubs, because we are not protected by EFL rules, are able to do so, and offer the youngster (or more accurately his parents) an offer they won’t refuse.

I am aware of youngsters at some smaller Clubs being signed by a Premier League Club, further away from their family home, with the enticement of “travel expenses” for the parents of any thing up to £500 per week, in order to get them signed.
Things like this have made our Academy/CofE unsustainable.
Joey Jones may have an opinion on this.......

I don’t think some of the points you are making are fair.

The club is planning for the future, it is working on upgrading the Racecourse (an example being the lower tier GUS seats). All these things, however, take money and, more importantly, time.
I haven't seen many on here suggesting boom or bust just a better approach.

Which points do you think are unfair - really - I would be interested to know.

I don't see any plans for the future - what are these key plans and why don't the owners know about them to buy into them.

Target 10,000 for the GUS was poorly conceived and executed and left until the final game - this could have been done well before then as could having a 'kids for free' with 1 paying adult in one of the last 5 home games.

Things take time because its all part time and done at a slow and lumbering pace. It needs more oomph and to be more dynamic. Too many people have to agree to m any things.

AS I have said a number of times WST should be strategic, planning and log term and WAFC should be day to day operations and be able to move quickly.

This isn't happening and the structure needs to change, its outdated and built on fear and not on forward thinking. I don't have all the answers all I can see is that its not working and if its not working it needs to be sorted. I don't mean living outside our means before you start.

Isn't he primarily a TNS fan? Or am I thinking of someone else?

This is rich coming from the 'prove it' and 'smoke screen it' twins.

What a lot of people are saying is how do we improve things on the pitch as its not working at the moment and by quite a long way IMO.

Its all hand to mouth, no strategic plan no measurement against targets.
Its all well and good saying we want promotion but what are the ways we are going to achieve it? Constant raffles at meetings? That isnt going to cut it and we need to think bigger and better.
Take Jonseys bar as an example. A bit of concrete and a rail. We should have built a new kiosk to replace the 2 that are there. More efficient, more effective and open all game to maximise revenue.

This constant defensive attitude has to change and we need to embrace change and not be scared of it.

Another excellent post Pagl you're well switched on to what's needed at this club, you should put yourself forward for election to the WST ( as long as your health is good) the the impression I'm getting is some are getting to comfortable in their approach their way or the highway mindset, new blood would shake it up a bit, but it would be a rough ride like a cuckoo in the nest.
