I think mackreth has injury problems. Twice he was injured crossing on his left whilst on the run. Hamstring pulled both times. He did it early on in the season and last game v fylde. Exactly the same thing says he has a serious problem to me.

Macketh when fit, offers a team more than Rutherford. It’s not rocket science mate. Where would Rutherford be had we not snapped him back up? Chester, Southport maybe.....

In all seriousness, Rutherford will do a job, works hard and will be a good squad player
But Mackreth, to me he was with Boden the biggest let down of the season. We paid a fee to Bury for him - seems a strange one looking at performances over the season.

The lack of effort when he came on during the Chester game was disgraceful

Let’s hope big Sam has some useful replacements lined up

I’ve got a good feeling that next season will be a further step in the right direction

Rutherford who got 14 assists, surely that’s worthy of a new deal. Ideally he needs someone better to push him for his position

Rutherford must have had the most assists in the division. That is coming from someone who thinks we can do better. If he can improve again next year he should be fine.
