Central Defenders under threat
 

Tharme stays but Raven and Marx gone. Raven was the backup, Marx could have been considered, but Tharme is too inexperienced for next year. I think this indicates either three at the back (not likely surely) or Ricketts wants a ball player in the middle of defence.

You could argue we weren't very good at starting attacks and the central defenders often get the ball first. Our two aren't the greatest ball players. I think we're looking for a classy central defender.

CB is surely the last place we need to strengthen. Would need a back up player only.

Centre midfield is where we need class.

we are in the 5th tier of football theres not too many classy CBs about, think SR will go with manny and shaun, with mabye a CM taking the ball off them with wedge as the shield

The OP states that our Centre back pairing aren't the greatest ball players and that Ricketts may be looking for a classier player.
Personally hope he's right as that's where the control is needed and a positive first ball out of defence rather than the Hoof.
To suggest that Wright or Wedgbury could fill in in their position only exacerbates the problem, neither can pass the ball effectively.

Another Centre back is needed to cover or replace one of the 2 we've got.

He certainly struggles in midfield, so maybe worth a punt.
