Can't understand the ill will towards Sam.

As someone who does a lot of traveling and is away from home a fair bit. The distance doesn't bother me at all.

Although it does bother my partner.

If she all of sudden decided she couldn't put up with it (along with everything else running a family etc), then I'd be looking for a new job.

Why did he move to Sheffield? If he was at FGR before, he must have been based down south, so when he signed for us and relocated, why on earth did he choose somewhere 80 miles away from Wrexham? What did he expect the commute to be like?

This really doesn't do anything to help with our reputation amongst many fans that we're 'too soft'. I'm not buying the 'no big loss' case, he wasn't a creative passer of the ball, but he did the dirty work in midfield very well, and had he been alongside a more attacking/creative player, it could have been a very good partnership, that was what I was hoping for in 18/19. It wasn't his fault that the midfield set up last season was devoid of creativity, that wasn't the job he was brought in to do.

We benefitted from Gateshead agreeing to cancel Manny Smith's contract so I suppose it's the sort of thing that evens itself out, but right now it still feels like a kick in the balls.

What would be the point in saying no? We would have a player here that wants to be somewhere else, sell him who would buy him? You can can get players of his level free, plenty of non league journeymen like him out there.
