1. Why do people make out as if we're the only club who comes to these agreements. It happens in every league in every country.

2. Thats 3 players from Sheffield who couldnt handle the commute - Nat Brown, Jake Speight and now Wedgebury. Maybe it is a ball ache?

3. Its funny to see people fume now hes gone, who never rated him?

4. Wages saved and him returning his signing on fee, would pretty much cover any small fee someone might pay for him, also Ricketts can look at a replacement now, rather than us holding out and MAYBE getting a fee but having less time to replace someone who doesnt want to be here and isn't 100% committed.

And if we had kept him against his will he'd have probably kept hold of his fee (and every right he would have if we tried to sell him)

Seems an honest lad. He's gone and we move on. Can't understand the bile on here. Good luck for the future Sam.

Snap overrated in my book he just looked good because he liked to run around a lot diving in late for 2 footed challenges & he would come last in a kids pass the parcel. How our expectations of what a good player is have dropped, he was part of the end of season failures, I would rather Rickets sign someone who can pass the ball, but mainly actually wants to be here.

The strangest bit is why sign a new deal only 3 months ago? Surely you don't just decide the commute is too much and you want to start a family in that short space of time? Never mind it's done, onwards and upwards!

Maybe he moved to Sheffield because his partner lives there?

And thought it would be ok to commute to Wrexham but has since found the strain on him and his relationship too much?

And the drive from Sheffield to here is a drag whichever way you go!

Why have we cancelled his contact and not sold him like any other club would. If you’re under contract at Wrexham and another club wants you just say you’re struggling with the travelling. Saves your new club a few £££

He probably has every right to keep the fee anyway, so the fact that he has handed it back shows, to me, that the guy has class, honour and principles.

Now that we have this knowledge, anyone who chooses to criticise him has no class, honour or principles.
In my opinion anyway.

Didn't see people complaining when Gateshead cancelled Manny Smith's contract so he could sign with us.
