I saw a player, frustrated at not being really involved in games and unable to have any influence from a wide position. Couple that with little or no movement through midfield and the gap between them and the forwards and it's no wonder you haven't seen him in a good light.

He may not even start next season but if he does it has surely got to be because we're playing more football and using the ability that he has.

Whole new midfield needed without doubt.

I think anyone hoping for a different Deverdics this season may be in for a disappointment. Never looked hungry or like he could be bothered. Basically did sweet fa for us last season. Let’s be honest if he wasn’t under contract for this season he’d have been on everyone’s release list. Rose tinted specs are out in force already along with those short memories.

There’s no excuse for not really trying which is what I saw from him. Plays like we’re 5-0 up regardless of reality.

Spot on. Our best bet is he gets a bit homesick and wants to move. Otherwise, once again we are going into a new season with a total and utter lemon.

Fresh start, new season..so book up or book out.
