“2/2 therefore there is no begging bowl just responding to what our owners want. Ultimately we all own the business and how much we are prepared to invest in it collectively (only what each of us can afford) will help us be more successful COYR”.
I would think/hope that the Kellog comment is more tongue in cheek and joking but I do think that for someone that puts in so much time and effort then the jokes should be a lot more respectful.

I do think that some of the 'ideas' that come out albeit well intended or very often poorly executed and don't leave some of the protagonists in a very good light. Maybe more PR work is required.

BTB2 is vital to the initial squad building so anyone that can support it in anyway is really helping the club. Yes we have a decent budget but we can see that better players cost more money at this level and this seems to have been our failure in January.

I think a few signings and a few positives from Sam will help build a bit of optimism because at the moment we are in the jet-lag of the failed play-off spot with nothing coming over the hill to relieve the pain.

Our level is the football league, we spent 87 bastard years there. We need to get back sharpish.

TS PAGL OF course the Captain Kellogs comment was tongue in cheek and not meant as disrespect, I know he and all of them work hard and give their time freely, some on here need to lighten up have a few beers enjoy the summer break.

Haven't you seen the Marvel comics film TS? They are heroes so doesn't that make Captain Kellogs a super hero name 😎 don't you have a nickname TS?

On a serious note the I don't think the Club is sustainable indefinitely I mean build the budget is serious a few more midtable seasons and more will agree. If we had fair play in
this league then yes but what we collect will be a piss in the ocean to what Salford. Fylde etc etc can spend.

That's not being negative it's common bloody sense.

Let me know when realities hits you.

I thought it was pretty disrespectful, joke or not. But there we are.

The accounts say we are sustainable and the finances are looking better every year. The likes of Dagenham and Barrow have shown what happens when you spend money you don’t have. Dagenham are close to being liquidated and Barrow will be going back to part time.

The accounts say we are sustainable, providing we have a mid table team and receive a Neil Taylor sell on fee each season.

This was explained at the last meeting. We increased our budget because of the Neil Taylor money. If we hadn’t of had it we’d have spent less.

And we had a mid table team. The Neil taylor £ was not enough to make us competitive.

Not necessarily. Teams with very large budgets have failed. Eastleigh, Barrow, etc. Luton finished well outside the play offs in John Still’s first season, and they likely had the biggest budget of any team that’s ever been down here.

It’s impossible to say whether we didn’t make the play offs because of our budget. Especially when the likes of Macc and Aldershot did well on much smaller budgets than ours.
