Could be a lesson here with Fondop.
Short on confidence, Pyke showing signs of injury and inconsistency.
Give him a run, if he fails then move on. Dont have this regret that he could have made it

MFT is on a 2 year deal so it is unlikely he will leave before we will have seen his full potential. He started on fire for a novice and maybe too much expectation was thrust upon his shoulders. I think you are right he does need game time to develop, but it was evident from his all round game that he was a rough diamond and great deal of weaknesses that he would need to knuckle down on the training ground and work on. After his first month he was seen as the high scoring forward he certainly isn't and when you combine that with confidence and self belief that all strikers desperately need to perform at their best, it will have done him no harm to have been given a break. He hasn't found the net in his limited minutes lately but he has shown some evidence he is learning to lead the line and bringing team mates into play.

People have likened him to Pogba, but Pogba was never thrown straight in or seen as the main striker and had time to knock off his rough edges and play to his strengths. MFT is a handful, he has shown he can score goals and I'm confident our coaching staff are working extremely hard with him to get the best for the club and MFT.

Needs to start that Boston game and be given a full 90 minutes time.

Prob start Newport game as Pyke seems injured.
Fondop, Beavon, Grant

I am just unsure how Sam is going to get him better unless he plays him.
The current selection isnt working IMO.

Pyke has indeed been ruled out.

Yes - I suspect we have lost Pyke for December if it really is a hamstring problem.

4 to 5 weeks probably. Wonder if we may see another short term loan come in?

Possible - but assuming SR stays (which is a big if) I believe he will be looking at more permanent additions - while never being averse to the odd loan deal. In his time at Wolves he saw the loan system used to great effect.

Compare that attendance for Leyton Orient v Bromley to the 1206 at the mighty Salford for their top of the table clash with Harrogate
