2nd lowest in league 2, average £635 weekly wage per player and won the title. Chesterfield had one of the biggest and got relegated. Money helps, but management and player recruitment defines your season. |

I reckon there would be a strong correlation between £ and league position. You would have to have perfect recruitment and get lucky to get promoted with a low budget, and relegated with a good budget show incompetence. Macc and eastleigh, Accrington and Chesterfield are exceptions that prove the rule. Posted via mobile theme |

Eastleigh have one of the worst pitches in the league and overspent on poor players. Chesterfield are in serious financial difficulty and it wasn't a surprise that they dropped as players on silly wages didn't care. Accrington - Good job. well done by their boss. Especially on their crowds. |
