It is what it is, the fans dont have the funds to make a difference and the board dont have any ideas. The older fan base will dwindle without hope of promotion.
This thread is about the national league.

Why are you infecting it with your doom laden predictions?

Hope Solihull can beat them.

Watched the Fylde v Harrogate Town tie - cracking tie for a neutral.
Harrogate just didn't come out of the blocks and were overwhelmed early on conceding twice within the first 20 minutes. They then started to get into the game and played some lovely football, missing the penalty, getting a goal back early second half and going close to an equaliser before Fylde wrapped it up at the death with one of several counter attacks against a stretched Harrogate Town who had thrown everything forward.

Have to say Harrogate are a pleasure to watch and have a decent midfield with Falkingham being given MOTM alongside Emmett - Falkingham reminds me of Jay Harris and was their midfielder who destroyed us when we played them at home in the Trophy last season.

What hit me on the TV viewing was the dozens of empty seats - the total attendance was 1,560 with perhaps a couple of hundred away fans at most.

Fylde were very average but understand the importance of actually scoring goals. Their fans are a complete joke but we knew that already.

Nowt between them and Solihull I would suggest. Home advantage might just tip it.

I have admired Solihull for some time - think they are a well balanced team with strength, physicality and experience all over the team with a very good manager - on their own narrow pitch with Daly & Gudger at the heart of defence it will be difficult to score against them.

Fylde of course have Rowe who has the capability to score from anywhere and might just be the match winner - thought Alex Reid looked lively when he came on as a late sub going close several times.

My tip if pressed would be a Solihull win but which team is the best prepared ? the one that has had a week to rest or the one that has kept active, played their strongest personnel and acquired a winning momentum ? with the new play off format an error could prove very costly - there is no opportunity to put any wrongs right with no second leg.

I don't believe the play off's are a lottery either - in virtually all cases the higher placed teams in the final league standings are the ones who progress - as per Fylde tonight who's chances no doubt increased with home advantage.

I'd much prefer to play Solihull than Fylde in the final. Though we have a huge task on our hands before then

I understand why they changed the way in which the play offs are done. Less games, less travelling etc. Every game is a cup final. Unfair on some clubs if they have to play away twice to get to Wembley though.
