It could be argued that many clubs are in the same situation - if any of the big club owners walked away would they be so successful ? Chelsea, Manchester City, Jack Walker at Blackburn pumping his own millions into his home town club - now he's gone things are not so good as they once were.

At least the ex United players are pumping money back into the game.

If the boot was on the other foot would we as a club refuse it on the basis that 'if or when you walk away we wont be able to sustain our level'.

Similarly to the continuous sniping against Forest Green - there will always be 'some people' for whatever reason that will financially support clubs whilst others like us don't get that level of financial support'

We would be able to sustain it though, on the basis that we are a proper football club with a large fanbase.

No we wouldn't. We wouldn't be able to survive if we were millions in debt and it needed repaying. You think Villa fans are thinking along those lines?! They need £75 million just to get through this season!

What about their ongoing commitments though? Players will have contracts that need to be paid, so they will have to find someone who can help them to do that since their outgoings are much higher than their income.

They will.have to get cheaper players. I'd don't believe the squad were all on multi year deals.

When this happens to us we need to consider this when reviewing the contract profiles of our team. Besides we will be getting gates of 25k in the championship at that point, so this will make our financial manoeuvring easier.

So much jealousy and snobbery about other teams like Salford. If it happened to us you’d all be lapping it up.

It irks me that clubs are bankrolled to the extent that it makes our attempts at promotion that bit more difficult, but at the end of the day we can't do anything about it.

Can only do the best we can and hope it turns out to be good enough.
