150 games in league 1 and was only 26 when we signed him. Played 24 times the season before he left despite being injured.

Pond is 33 and Captain due to being longing serving player by a mile. Played when 7 leagues below.

I know who is better on paper.

I've never met one in 30 or so years of following the town. Have you?

The whole point of following a football team is that you want to see them win as many games as possible.

Do I need to answer that pointless question, you have changed my point to Dixie totally I suggest you read the post by him I replied to, nothing to do with not wanting the team to win as man games as possible.

He's spent most of his career in non league.

We signed Manny Smith from league one. Whats the difference ?
Pond and Whitaker are top players at our level. Together with recruiting Graham Alexander as manager , it’s a real statement of intent. If they follow this up with marquee signings in other positions , it’s their league to lose next season.

Its not Danny Whitaker that's gone to Salford its Danny Whitehead

I don't believe any of these figures. Why would they pay 8x ? He has failed to impress at all clubs besides this last season. Couldn't get a game at Cheltenham in league 2. Pond no better than Manny and a lad from Fc United.

Only thing that is impressive is the speed in which they are assembling squad. We haven't got an assistant manager yet !
