Spot on. In the past I would understand not being able to compete with a wealthy owner but we're averaging 5 times their attendances every home game, got huge transfer pay outs every window and also had two managers that have been bought out of their contracts. No excuses for me.

Serious question. What evidence leads you to be so sure that an unwillingness to pay wages above a certain level is handicapping our recruitment? Appreciate this is a rumours site (usually way off the mark) and people can speculate as much as they want but just repeating something doesn’t make it a fact. Lainton Grant Tollitt Walker Stockton Oswell Kennedy were all being paid at league rates before they came to us. Have they all taken big pay cuts?

I can't see that Shaun Pearson for instance agreed to extend his contract without us paying a decent wage. Doesn't make sense to me. Perhaps we haven't got the equivalent of Rooney in our squad wage wise but we must be fairly competitive.

Hawkridge seems a bit too much of a footballer for Solihull RFC
