I personally think that 442 provides the basis to win this league (anyone care to check this from past winners ).

2 solid banks of 4 and 2 forwards with pace and power.
Some may prefer 433 as they think it is more attacking but for me it leaves the midfield exposed unless both FBs are good going forwards and back.

532, 352 etc all combinations but rely on a more complicated approach

4-4-2 for me.

I would settle for one big pacey striker up front with Holroyd and two fast attacking midfielders on each wing!

I prefer a 4-2-3-1 - the two midfielders do not need to be overly negative - but does allow the 4 up front to bomb on

I like 4 -2-3-1 as well and think it would have suited wedge. I also think if you get the right 3 supporting players to the striker they could interchange and offer flexibility up front. ..like with all systems to be successful depends on getting the right players.
