Obviously you'd be hard pressed to find 23 unique caterers capable of serving a few hundred every other week so perhaps some return two or three times over the course of the season.
You could also go down the route of a guest local beer each week or every few weeks. That could work well with publicity and drumming up local business.

Brighton always get in a local beer for away fans. For our visit they had Brains, so not really local, but a nice idea!

A lot of these ideas are really good, but I suppose its once again having the resource available to organise, manage and oversee such initiatives.

That said, I do think that elements of the catering at the racecourse needs a major rethink.

There seems to have been good progress in offering pre-match meals in various ground venues, but the food kiosks that cater for the vast majority of fans remain very limited in choice, quality and affordability.

Why don't they involve more people then - just a thought.

Its been said but we could do with taking a leaf out of Kiddiministers book with regards to food. Decent quality nosh which if im not mistaken has won them awards and lots of good publicity for the club.

I would love to see something like this. But unfortunately you need people passionate about food to make it work.

I think the new pies seem to have been well received by those that have bought them but in general prices, service and quality leave a lot to be desired and we are losing out on so much extra revenue because we simply don't put the time and effort into improving it.

Pies are about the only think fine.

Anything involving the use of bread is generally dry and has a stale feel about it.

The choice of chocolate is appaling - mega size Yorkie or Kit Kat!

Shame they don't have a griddle with decent burgers and sausages.

The pies are good and at £2.80 well priced for a sports venue.

Everybody bangs on about Kiddy but the Cottage Pie was £4 ish a couple of years ago and they used to sell out before kick off of a lot of items.

Giving more choice means carrying greater stock which is perishable and the risk of reducing profit.
