Having a great defensive unit is fine, as is having a midfield that again is functional and can hold/pass the ball.

The main issue we had is that we were too defensive and at the end our ability to grind out 1-0 wins was hampered by our inability to score - sometimes even the 1 goal we needed.

We have to be better. I am not aware that any team has got out of this league on the back of 1-0 wins - if they have then it must be a 1 off and we have to be more expansive up front.

Would you accept boring football, grinding out results to gain promotion or ultimately do you want entertaining football at all costs even if it ends up not gaining promotion - and if we had entertainment but no promotion would you see it as success?

I know the ultimate dream of us all is entertainment and promotion, but I'm just interested in your thoughts
No.

Agreed.

If we ever get to league 2 that will become a different matter.

But we need to get out of this hell hole of a bottle neck. By any means possible.

The answer has to be yes.

For what it’s worth I don’t think that Rickets will be setting up the same way that Keates did. Here’s hoping anyway.
I assume that's a typo, I said hypothetical, and I agree what we saw last season wouldn't get us promoted but that wasn't really the question

I would take a 1-0 win every match of the season to get promoted, but if it happened after about 3 or 4 1-0 wins I’d probably get concerned we aren’t killing off teams more convincingly. Obviously it’s a hypothetical but even when we win the team shouldn’t be above constructive criticism. I’d happily accept hoof ball to get promoted but I’d also ask why we can’t pass the ball every match until we’re the champions.

Promotion above all else. I'd rather a boring 1-0 win than an exciting 4-5 loss.

Not sure that Moyes is boring. One of the best performances I have ever seen at the Racecourse is when his Preston team took us apart with the nearest I have seen in real life to total football.

If we went a goal behind, well, you just new it was game over or a draw at best and to be honest the atmosphere at the Racecourse was not the best, watching that negative football.
I personally don't care how many the opposition score as long as we score one more than them ha.
