I'm stunned we are playing Vaughan's Bangor.

Why do we play so many teams below our own level? Surely if we want to hit the ground running, we want to be playing similar teams, or even better teams than ourselves.

All the games against the welsh sides are nothing more than a fitness exercise...

What a totally uninspiring list of pre-season friendlies.

I get the need for a few games against lowly opposition to get fitness up at the start, or to look at a few trialists, but as the season approaches the team needs to be challenged, as do the formation and tactics.

For the last two years we have been off the pace in the first few games and the lack of decent pre-season opposition has to be a contributory factor.

Given the number of EFL teams in the North West of England, surely we could have got a decent run out against one of them?

Our final pre-season game away from the Racecourse can be confirmed this afternoon as Sam Ricketts' men will make a trip to 2017-18 Vanarama National League Champions Macclesfield Town.

The Dragons will visit the Silkmen's Moss Rose on Tuesday, 24th July 2018 for a 7.30pm kick-off.

I find it incredulous how low our club will stoop - once again playing Bangor City.

Stephen Vaughan Promotions are their stadium main sponsor.

Wrexham fans who can remember our recent past need to seriously consider if they want to financially support BCFC by attending this fixture.

I was very surprised to hear that those who run Wrexham arranged a friendly with Bangor City. If its true.

We are definitely playing at Bangor City. It's been announced on the WAFC website.Shame that there will be no pre-season friendly with Cefn Druids this year but understandable since the Ancients will be competing for European glory!!
