Yes and it makes our job that much harder. Saying that when was the last time we had a youth team player break into our first team and play more than 10 matches?

I think the article is misleading. First of all, he says he'll be looking at players Aberystwyth to Holyhead so some of those players are already out of our catchment area. Secondly, It will be a development centre, not an academy as ther is a limit on how far a player must live from the club in question. Cardiff tried this several years ago in Oswestry and had to abandon it for these reasons.

Yes it does

It takes the pxxs that a south wales club is on our patch, but they aren't alone.

I hope they enjoy traveling the length of Wales for games
Cos if theyre lad is decent -hell be expected to be in Swansea every other week for games

Not sure how it is Wrexham's patch. What about other non league clubs like Colwyn Bay and Bangor. What determines a clubs 'patch'.

My prediction is Swansea will do a Bradford/ Coventry. Their hardcore fan base is no bigger than ours.
