^^ This is true, I spoke to Club secretary Geriant last year and he told me the Premier league then the Football league have their say on which dates they can / cannot play on for particular teams

eg Liverpool Request every year they do not get a game on 15th April (hillsborough) and also teams like Leeds/ Sheff Weds/ Sheff United cannot be scheduled at home together because of police resources etc this then has a knock on effect to lower teams like Rotherham and Barnsley.

finally they get to the national league and give us the dregs lol.

I think this is the 'overall' current situation taking into account all factors.

The Premier League
Fixtures released to participating clubs on Wednesday 13 June.
At 0900 am on Thursday 14 June they are released to the general public.
Premier League fixtures commence weekend 18 / 19 August - a week later than usual due to the World Cup.

Championship / League 1 / League 2
Released 0900 am Thursday 21 June

National League
As yet no date available - and I can't see any change to this for some time.
No information on the official National League site.
As Podders has indicated earlier in the thread there will need to be a period of consultation with our League officials taking into account the fixtures in other leagues and the need to avoid potential clashes - so in reality we will probably have to wait until the first week in July for any concrete answers.

In addition there is a questionnaire in two parts which is issued to each club (normally the club secretary) and the local police covering each club - both organisations are requested to complete their wishes and wants to assist the league - it's not left purely down to chance.

I'm sure I saw it covered somewhere else, but looking at a map of the national League teams it looks like Salford or Solihull for the xmas/new year games which is a great improvement on Barrow.

I'd love to see North Wales Police's list of requests. I suspect it is one item only, that a meteorite hits the Racecourse and the club is relocated to England.
