These moronic posts concerning lack of players and assistant manager need to stop, it is not the club who are a laughing stock it is the posters on here who have no idea what is happening behind the scenes, let him get on with his job and judge him in August.
The thing is he would look stupid if he kept coming out in the paper daily saying "we offered it to Rob Edwards but he turned us down" and then the following day "Alan Curtis turned us down today."

He/They are obviously trying but stuff is happening we dont or cant know about.

Thin is he should have sorted it when he was made manager because the first team should be his priority now.

If it's a case of "will see it when I believe it" then there is no point in releasing statements and we may as well be left in the "current in the dark approach"
My original point was about 2013 season when we didn't think about the long term strategy so its only taken 5 years to announce

I think it is a positive step as it identifies a number of key areas and at this point I don't expect the finest detail but there should be some level of detail on the aims and the goals of each strategy so that the numbers stack up.

The plans will then be the detail and as the press release says then some are more advanced than others and it would be interesting see what the Gold Bond and Membership plans were.

OK, but it's been announced. Why harp on about 2013? As of TODAY, there is an announced long-term strategy, with plans in place/being worked on.

You say "I don't expect the finest detail but there should be some level of detail on the aims and the goals of each strategy so that the numbers stack up."

Do you know for certain that there aren't?

I was dead against the Ricketts appointment to begin with don't get me wrong and obviously now my fears are starting to be realised. But, we've at the very least got to see who he signs and where we go based on that.

We've got a good spine and a few good additions and we'll all be singing his praises. Though I admit it does sound like he's very naïve in the transfer market, similar to Keates in a way. No point sticking the knives in yet until he's managed to finalise the squad, just hope some signings are made soon or we really will be up shit creek.

who is harping on - I mentioned it once (thought I got away with it) but the point is that its taken 5 years to issue a strategy.

As for the numbers then they are not part of the release so I think it would make sense to release them so that the owners are aware of the aims and goals of the strategy.

This is how it should work, its not a secret society, its not sensitive information otherwise why release the £500k statement.

Surely even with your blinkered WST stance must appreciate some communication to the fans and owners would help to bridge the gap that seems to exist. Lack of information or information only provided to selected members is not healthy in a 1 member 1 vote organisation.

As I've stated, I'm not blinkered WST. As I've also stated, when communication doesn't bridge a gap, but instead just calls certain posters to do nothing but complain further and in fact increase tension because they are unwilling to accept what is being said (even when it is nothing but possible) then you must appreciate why they are reticent to do so?
