We feel for our 2 members who went to a lot of trouble to put forward the Resolution.

It has left some of us questioning if there is any point in having a DSA at all."

Given the lack of backing of the club to the resolution and now this, what exactly are the club playing at?

Our FPA committee has had informal discussions and will be offering our full support on future fundraising events to WrexhamO and his wonderful DSA team.
If only the club board shared your opinion of the worth of such good publicity.

I'd just like to thank all those fair minded posters, who've expressed their support for our (DSA's) attempts to improve accessibility at the Racecourse. I only wish our club's board of directors shared your generosity of spirit.

We will push things through for our members, come he'll or high-water, of that you have my word

Slightly confused as to the point of resolutions if they’re not binding? Surely it’s a waste of people’s time proposing them/voting on them. If they ARE binding, as I’d always assumed, then the email sent seems to be both pointless and needlessly divisive.

Sorry if I've missed something or there's more to this but it doesn't say they won't designate the spaces and wasn't the idea for quicker engagement by the club? Isn't this the start of engagement?

It's not my place to say really but my reading is that the club is offering a quick deal rather than one that meets the required standards.

The club is slinging people are happy with their pitch side spaces or if they would like them marked.
What they are not saying is that the current spaces are not wide enough for a wheelchair they are merely allocated a front row seat.
A properly designated space will offer them 900mm wide spaces plus 500mm for the carer. But this is not explained.
It's a shockingly loaded question designed to produce an answer.
And it is in direct opposition to the Resolution passed on Monday.
I am shocked saddened and thoroughly disheartened with it all to be honest.

Understand your point completely but the resolution appears to only say that they should be designated areas, (just reread it) technically it doesn't specify a size or type. Playing devil's advocate maybe they didn't understand that was your point due to the wording of the resolution.

Why on earth would you have designated areas which WEREN’T the correct standard? Apart from anything else, point 4 of the resolution instructs “that the club meets minimum standards of accessibility at the earliest possible opportunity.”

To be honest it looks like the board don’t want to properly follow the resolution. If this is the case, hopefully those people who respond to any criticism of the Trust with “get a resolution passed then” or similar comments will have the decency to stop using this response.

There have been growing divisions within the Club for a long time now. The current controversy over the DSA Resolution , and the unbelievable Vaughan collection debacle, are forcing fans to choose between backing the Board or doing what's right. I know which side I am on.
