But... (and I would hazard a guess you don't know any more than I do...) the DSA might already have the funding in place to cover any unforeseen additional costs.

Hence no bitten bum ?
IF this is all true why has the platform not been built then ? I suspect there is more to this issue than we are being told.

The DSA are committed to cover all the costs (alongside match funding).
Genuine question here, you keep mentioning matched funding, from whom?

CF, the best person to answer that would be the Club board and WST board as it seems the DSA are more than keen to move forward on this ASAP.

There 'may be more' to this issue, there also 'might not be' and in the interests of transparency the best course of action is always to make a simple public announcement.

It would seem a simple thing to do (an update on plans and progress) in response to the resolution being passed and mandate.

No.

Stadium Manager advised that he thought a DJ had overloaded it at a function in the 1864 suite.
Luckily we were able to contribute substantially to the repair.

Executive box holders, 1864 users and many others use the lift, but somehow the myth persists that it is the extra use of 6 wheelchairs going up and down (one at a time) has overloaded the aging, badly maintained lift.

And yes, the next platform will need a lift. We designed a plan for a platform without one, in consultation with the WCBC safety officer - who then after the plans were drawn up insisted we used a lift!!!

For clarity, when I say badly maintained I refer to prior years. Phil Salmon worked his socks off to get it fixed and as far as I know the repair also included getting a maintenance contract in place.
