Another 10 Hall of Fame candidates ;-

Gren jones
Barry Horne
Steve Charles
Steve Buxton
Jim Whitley
Dave Fogg
Les Cartwright
Neil Taylor
Stuart Mason
Andy Thackeray

Appreciate we may have different views but cannot understand anyone currently in control of the Hall of Fame arguing that inducting new members into the Hall of Fame would " cheapen " the award. I have suggested 30 possible candidates so far. Can WSF Chairman Tony Williams please tell us which candidates he would recognise as worthy or " cheapening " to our Hall of Fame tradition?

In Spain at the moment with a 'not so good' internet connection.
I'm trying to keep up with your suggestions and agree with a lot of your potential nominees.
Will get in touch soon after 28th June and maybe come up with a small Hall of Fame committee ( not exclusively from WSF ) in order to progress this.

How about Jacko as the first fan inducted. It would be a nice tribute to him.

I was wondering this too. And daft as it sounds but maybe Les Evans, whose brilliant photography captured so many wonderful moments

Have to be careful with off the field legends, of course, otherwise 'Legend' will be overused, but these two I believe span decades of service.

Agreed. I don’t think a Hall of Famr should have a massive amount of non-players/managers, but not sure ANYONE could argue with Jacko or Les!

I hope there is more to follow because at the moment, from my era, it's looking more like a cult hero hall of fame with far too many one season wonders at the expense of real legends like Brian Carey.

Who remembers Jack Jones ( I think ) who was the Wrexham / Wales, trainer / massage for many years. That bucket of cold / icy water soon got you on your feet again. Would perhaps deserve a place in the Hall of fame as a non footballer.

Brian Carey was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2006. There was a policy of not including those who were still playing for us and Brian was unanimously elected when he retired.
Don't know which "one season wonders " you mean?
