Watching the situation at Aston Villa with interest there is a swell of opinion about going fans owned.

They gambled and lost: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44382488

It’s not being run very well there’s been huge mistakes made, how on Earth there was no criticism of the management of the club from January to the end of the season at the agm is beyond me.

Anyone with common sense willing to put money in would buy the club outright, why on earth would anyone put money on the table to be told that we are doing this or that by Spencer and co?

I think a bold move by the trust would be to find a buyer but retain 20% so there is supporter presence on the board but literally that will be it the owner will do as they please anyway it happens all the time.

I reckon you're in '' cucko land", if you think that any Wrexham fan would be content to see us in the WPL.

I’ve said not it before and i’ll say it again.

If I had a substantial amount of money to donate to the club, be it 100k or a million quid.

There is not a chance I’d donate it.

For the certain minded fans it will never be enough, they will always want more, they have very short memories and quite frankly they’re feckin ungrateful.

Why would the current efforts stop under a different owner ? We don't stop supporting the club if we are no longer owned solely by a fans trust. Plenty of clubs in the football league have BTB campaigns and the like despite being owned by individuals.

How many are run by volunteers? It’s very hard to harness the supporters in the way we do if you aren’t fan owned. As for raising money; Moss wanted us to give away money to him without accountability and without giving us anything in return. Never again.

I think the only investment possible for the club would be for the wst to put the club up for sale or actively search for a potential buyer.
Chester have just had an investor put money in for no reward. Swettenham Chemist's sponsor their youth so it is possible.

Don't see why it should. Its still the same club and the end goal remains the same. Any future money raised could be ring fenced, like the current BTB. We've had volunteers ever since day 1.
